M. P. Levene is one of the oldest surviving antique dealers in London, tracing its roots back to 1889. This year, the owners decided that their website (online since the year 2000) was in need of a redesign which required the ability to sell their range of silverware directly online – to clients around the world.
We sell high-end antique and modern English silverware, and we need our products to look stylish and sophisticated. I worked carefully and closely with InterGreater as they built our new website. Communication between us was fast and changes were made instantly when requested.
All the care they had taken in the early design really paid off. Since the launch, the look of our new website has been widely praised by new and old clients. I would definitely recommend InterGreater to anyone who is looking for that little extra in design and sophistication.

New Look, New Style
To bring the design up-to-date, the navigation was greatly improved with the use of drop-down menus. A sharper, spacious layout and classical typography achieves a sense of elegance that complements the clean photography of high quality antique products.
Choosing the Right E-commerce Platform
The Shopify platform was deemed to be the most suitable for the M.P. Levene business, because of its capability of accepting international payments, ease of use, and SEO control. Paypal is used as a payment gateway to accept card payments worldwide and the Website Payments Pro package ensures a better customer experience – users pay directly on the store’s checkout pages rather than being redirected to the Paypal site.
Multiple Currency Display
Site visitors from the USA and Europe instantly see the product prices in their own currencies. Our developers worked with a currency exchange API to make sure that prices regularly update using the most recent rates.
A great deal of effort has been made to improve various SEO elements such as custom URLs, meta titles and descriptions. Due to the vast number of product images involved, better SEO-friendly filenames were introduced along with keyword-rich ALT text and title tags.
A blog section allows the client to add new posts whenever new, special commissions are undertaken.
